Adhik Maas is known as a sacred month for bhakti,

Adhik Maas is known as a sacred month for bhakti, daan, jap, and spiritual purification.
But this month also holds deep significance for Pitru Shanti.

In Sanatan tradition, it is believed that prayers, daan, and seva done with sincere bhav during Adhik Maas can bring peace to the ancestors and blessings to the family. Acts like feeding the needy, offering water, chanting Bhagwaan Vishnu's name, and performing daan are considered especially meaningful during this time.
